Dr. Anna Zhirui Zhou is an internationally trained classical pianist. Zhou has earned her bachelor’s degree at prestigious Shanghai Conservatory of Music in piano performance. In 2014, she moved to the United States for further study. She holds a doctoral degree in piano performance at University of Georgia.
Zhou is a winner of numerous major piano competitions. She won the 2nd prize at the 2015 Young Artist Concerto Competition in Georgia. In 2016, she won 3rd prize at the International Piano Competition in Pineto, Italy. A 1st prize winner in MTNA Georgia and Southern Division competitions. She has performed at Steinway Hall in New York and received an Educational Grand from Steinway & Son. In 2019, Zhou won honorable prize at Memphis International Piano Festival & Competition. In 2021, she won 1st prize at Southeast Young Artist Piano Competition. As a soloist, Zhou has performed recitals in mainland China, Hongkong, the United States, France, Spain and Italy.
Zhou has studied with Prof. Yuan Ling at Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, Prof. Chen Jiang and Franz Mo at Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Prof. Alexander Kobrin at Schwob School of Music in Georgia, and Dr. David Fung at University of Georgia.
